Today, it's hard to
find quality products that are created one piece at a time, with the
care that only a craftsman can give. Custom Furniture Design
& Restoration is such a place. For more than ten years, we
have created stunning home furnishings to match existing pieces, to fit
a particular space, or simply to give form to a customer's idea.
Furnishings that will be handed down from one generation to the next.
We work
only in choice selections or solid wood, from cherry to oak to
walnut, or even exotic species like mahogany and purpleheart. Wherever
possible, we use aged or carefully salvaged wood, utilizing its fine
patina to create an antique look, if desired. We're also accomplished
in other styles, from Contemporary to Victorian. All finishes,
including environmentally friendly, are available.
In
addition to custom furniture design, we also restore antique or
“loved” furniture, preserving the warmth and feeling of the piece,
preparing it for many more years of service.
We are
located in the historic Connecticut River Valley of Western
Massachusetts, home to a variety of wood species, plus a colonial
woodworking tradition dating back to the early 1700s. old Sturbridge and Storrowtown
Villages are local examples of our rich heritage of craftsmanship. But
despite our small-town location, delivery can be arranged to any
location in the continental USA.
