Here is a perfect example where this
unit had to fit a particular space. Although a
small piece, it solved a large problem.
This
client loved to cook, had a mismatched collection
of spice containers and found it very difficult
to find what she needed.
After
meeting with her, it was decided that she would
first find a set of spice jars she liked, then
a spice rack would be made to fit the jars.
She
wanted a “bleacher” style rack so
all the spice jar labels could be seen at a glance.
As
can be seen by the photo, there was only a small
section of counter space available with limited
height and depth.
An
important feature was the use of alignment moldings
on both sides of the shelves, so whenever a spice
jar was put back, it would automatically fall
into place.
The
wood used was birch to match the cabinets with
a clear finish.
